ok, i think my engine is dying on me
when i drive in first gear, after shifting in to second gear or turning, i hear a KNOCK. it sounds as if something in my engine is hitting the bottom oil pan (well thats what it sounds like at least) it doesnt always happen but lately its occuring more and more.. and when im in third gear and accelerating to 3000 rpm, the needle in the tach sometime jumps down to 2500 then jumps back up, it also happens sometimes when at 4000 rpm in 4th gear..

my dad (ex-vehicle instructor/inspector Korean Army) said something about the crank or something but wasnt too sure because his english isnt perfect and my korean is shot.

has anyone else had the same problem???.. oh yeah my engine is rebuilt and has like 140000km after being rebuilt.

 

you may have a bad rod or maing bearing. pull the oil pan and see if you have any small metal flakes in the pan. if you do, at least one of your bearings is shot and you would need to do a rebuild.

 

did u run with no oil???????????
