throttle body cleaning need advice
ive been researching on how to clean a throttle body. its going to be my first time and i want to make sure i dont do anything wrong and do everything correctly.
i bumped into this video and it has good ratings so im assuming this is the correct way to do it but its really short and straight to the point.

i was wonder is there anything else i would need to know besides what that guy has mentioned in the video?
im assuming after all the cleaning is done just start the car and drive it for 5-10 mins? or so?
any advice is appreciated thanks

That's it in a nutshell.
Make sure that anything you remove gets put back, also be careful not to crack any hoses or pull/break any electrical connections while your moving stuff around. Don't use a lot, use a little like he says. No need to wash the cylinder wall or flood the engine with throttle body cleaner.

ok i just finished doing it yesterday, i ended up doing it with a toothbrush and after when i was done i started my car and drove it. It felt amazing. my gas pedal use to get stuck all the time like there was gum in between. now when i press on the gas pedal i can barely feel it move. i can hear the gas and feel the gas flow more nicely and smooth how it should be. my acceleration got better and now my car is a little faster.
thanks for the tips

That video will help with the tip-in stickiness, but if you really want to clean it properly you have to remove it from the intake manifold so you can get all the nooks and crannies.
Removing it from the intake manifold also prevents a non-start issue from being overzealous with the solvent.
The solvent will evaporate faster if the engine is hot, but it won't ignite or anything. If it doesn't start after cleaning, follow the intructions in the video to purge the TB cleaner from the engine.
Just the throttle body. The intake manifold would have to be removed to be cleaned properly, and the intake tubing (pre-TB) probably won't need cleaning.
