Default Hondata s200 HELP!!!!

My buddy purchased a used hondata s200 system installed in a p28. It didnt come with a USB cable though. He bought a cable that fit the system at radio shack but for some reason the ecu will not connect to the lap top. He also downloaded Rom Editor 4 from the Hondata web site. Any reason why it might be doing this?

You need romeditor v4 plus a romulator and chip burner to be able to do anything with hondata s200:

I would suggest upgrading to hondata s300 instead:
