Need Some Advice
i am the proud owner of an ITR , but i want some more toys now. Ive driven my friends ninja 900 before and it was pretty nice ... what would be a good bike to start out with but not soemthing that will be too little for me a 2 or 3 years ? any advice at all would be good right now. im shopping around
So what are you looking for in a bike? just ride around? or alittle more aggressive?
It all depends, but if you know you will be track riding, or riding some twisties, then id go with a ninja250 or 500 (like what most people say). It seems like its a very cheap and good bike. But if its mostly daily driving, and for transportation, maybe itll be a good idea to look for something with alittle more displacement, but not a sports bike, IMO

it wont be my daily transportation , but i do plan to be on it alot this comming summer when its warm out again. im looking for something with good power and handling , but again i dont want to kill myself either. i dont plan to take it to any tracks but i want something thats going to be able to ... " rip " when i get more use to riding it. thanks man
My advice would to take the MSF course if not taken already. As far as bikes, the F4i is a great bike to start on, but then again, so is any bike as long as you treat it right. Look around the best prices and then go from there. Keep us updated!
I'm kinda in the same situation. I've wanted a bike for years and I've decided that the urge is too strong anymore. I'm going to the first class I can get to but it looks like that is going to be next year. I've found two bikes that I really like but I don't know much about them yet. One is the F4i and the other is the yzfr6. Can you guys give me any help with how to pick one or the other. I'm going to have to buy it used to fit it into my bills. Any help you guys can give me is really appreciated.
'02 and older r6s are going to be real cheap come spring. Many owners will be trading up to the new '03 models R6. That way you can either get a killer deal on a used from the owner, or possibly a decent deal from the dealer w/ a warranty. Whichever floats your boat. Good luck and I commend you on your decision to take the class.
