Default Special B16B/b18cr Modd

Hi everyone there. This is another silly question from me. Since B16b and B18cr is same deck height about 212.39mm. So here is the question:

Has anyone here try this kind of crazy combination:

Brian Crower LightWeight 95mm
ACL Bearing
Light Weight Beam Rod that support 95mm crank
PCT EK9 Dome Piston 81mm
Block B16b/B18cr

P/S: I know Brian Crower come with the stroke kit package.

But since I want to use my existing PCT piston 81mm and b16b block. So above combination can it support? or the beam rod should be shorter. Thank you

Might want to try in the n/a forum. Lots more experienced folks in there who can crunch numbers for you.

looks like a 95mm crank, with b16a rods/pct pistons would result in about 13.78:1 comp,
a terrible 1.41 rod/stroke ratio and 1958cc. jdm or usdm itr pistons would be a wiser choice in street car. This is all based off of zealautowerks.com

Hope you hate rpm

Thanks RonJ@HT.

Yeah I calculate from that website too. Yes it must use b16a rod length.
I ask my mechanic to find that 95mm crank in Malaysia. But since this kind of crank is rare I'm afraid the crank will cost more than exact price. He also suggest take the full weight 95mm crank and I beam rod( with mod shorten rod). So he said is possible fit with my b16b piston. Displacement 1958.14

(scatcrankshaft max 98mm crank) displacement 2019.97

Actually this is my 1st time rebuild my engine. The block was a bit worn out need to be rebore to 81.25mm and b20b crankshaft & b20 rod & main bearing worn out and racing clutch worn out too. As you can see this in zealautowerks.com the compression is about 12.98:1. But my block skim few mm. So is > 13 compression. The ride was awesome, when vtec engage the sound is very loud and clear vtec. the rpm was very quick and I'm using OS Giken Clutch. If I wanna rebuild as it was before sound tired for me.But If I rebuild to upgrade that will be much worth and is cost almost same

1) I rebore block, change bigger piston and ring, b20 crank ,b20b rod ,acl bearing, weight balancing. it cost almost 1400 usd.
2) If I use back my good b16b piston + BC FW 95mm crankshaft+ Lighten I beam rod+Acl bearing. no balancing needed Almost same 1400 USD.

So I think Option 1 is no worth most money spend on services while option 2 spend on real item.

P/S: Is happier if is an upgrade you know my answer.
