DanK (thc) Intro/DA Build: Jackie O
What's up everyone? Finally got registered on here! Been on a few other forums, finally signed up. My name is Dan and I got myself a 91 ls. Love the DA chassis, my first car was a 90 gs sedan, then moved on to a DC with jdm front. Had this DA for about 3 years now, and I'm finally getting around to it. Call her miss Jackie O.
Now for some pics n timeline.

Picked her up for, can't even remember, like 7-800. Snapped timing belt on a 98ls motor. No fogs, some rust, stretched ebrake cable, torn up drivers seat. Cheap header, hi flow cat, his hi power exhaust, 92-93 front bumper. 244,444 (currently) on chassis with around 14x,xxx on the motor. All in all, fairly clean for a car that sat outside in Wisconsin for about 2 years.

My brother and I got her home with the dolly and went to work. New water pump n timing belt went in. Then some heavy cleaning of the interior.

Also slapped my wheels on. Falken Hanabi.
Drove it around, as is. Plugs n wires, new pads. Nothing good lol.

Early this year, got hooked up with a b16 head, gunnin for ls/Vtec sometime. Also got tired of Lookin at my horrendous wheel gap and ordered some s-tech springs.

Finally had time to put in my headlights, but that turned to be a no go. The top piece of the radiator support was bent to hell. Ended up ordering a new piece!

Pretty..
Nuthins happened since then. Started cleaning the head, doing whatever I can with the time I got.
My next step is def drilling out the top beam and putting in the new one with my lights! Also been debating on getting the pwjdm fenders precut for the sidemarkers or jus drilling it myself.. think Ima jus go ahead n get um.

Random shots..

Haha I hear ya. Right now the car is in bucketmode. Once I get the money to fix the windshield and the rust around that, that's when shell be clean once again"
It was a pain in the ***, lemme tell you. Here's a little so called write up.
Things needed:
Shop vac
Plastic scrub brush
Foaming carpet cleaner (can't think of the brand, sorry)
Bowl of hot water
Patience
First thing I did was take out the seats. Depending on how nasty your carpet is, its not necessary. For mine, it was.
After removing the seats, I used the shop vac to pick up all the loose debris. Now, in my car, dude had some pop or some kind of beverage spilled on the passenger side. So what I did was take the scrub brush and get it wet with the hot water.
Give the area a thorough scrub, rinsing the brush off.
Let the area air dry a bit, while you vacuum the other side. (I did mine in 2 parts. Drivers side and pass side.)
Once its all dry again, vacuum up any loose debris from scrubbing.
Now, take the foaming cleaner and spray the carpet. What I did was try and get the main areas of concern first. Spray enough to get a nice thick foam on the area.
Take the brush again and start going to town. Make sure you change up the direction. Side to side, push/pull, and circular.
Let that area dry out a bit while you spot other areas. Make sure to rinse the brush after each spot. Once your done with one side, go over it with the shop vac to pick up anything that has came loose.
Now. Some people might stop after doing spots here n there. DONT. Let it air dry for a good hour or so. Go back out there, give it a once over with the scrub brush to see if there's any leftover debris. Hit it with the shop vac once more.
Now. Get the foaming cleaner and brush again.
Start layin down the foam, from door to center. A good 4-6 in wide strip is what I did.
Start scrubbing, changing up the directions, until the foam is gone, then a few swipes after.
Keep doing that until you reach the firewall or rear seat, whichever end you started at.
Once you're done scrubbing, do one last run with the shop vac.
That's it!
Put the seats back in, and it will look showroom fresh!
..hopefully.
So yea. Just keep scrubbing away with the foam and keep vacuuming.
It honestly took me about 3 hours just on the carpet! And in the pic, that was about halfway with the one side!.
