rear lip with mudflaps

Default rear lip with mudflaps

so i just bought a type r style rear lip for my 98ej anybody know if i can put mudflaps on it as well as the rear lip because ive been told that its one or the other but im trying to think if theres a way around this and be able to have both the rear lip and mudflaps. any help? thanks guys.

You can see if you can trim the mudguards once the lip is on.

^^^ trim the mud guards? i dont understand-_- because the lip is big and if i try to put the mudguards it the screw that goes by the inside of the tire. i was thinking if i can use another cars mud flaps or something.

I mean test fit a mudguard and trim away the edge that sits against the lip until it fits right.

People do that.

Hard to say what other mudguards would fit your "Type R Style" rear lip. They can vary in design.

possibly, or you can try to trim away at the lip. either way i think its overkill! but thats just my opinion.

Maybe.

I'd say test fit them and make your own judgement.

Some people have used RSX mudguards on hatches with OE lips too (not Type R lips). Probably need to do the same trimming to make those fit though.
