So today was the 1st day I get to drive my car in about a week or so.

Sun was out, music was on....

when suddenly while going home....I let off the throttle (coasting) and I hear this
*wub wub wub wub wub wub wub wub* noise....

I shut off the music.... and give it some gas.....strange.... no noise.... I proceed to rip it a little....maybe it's just a rock stuck in the tire or something..... no noise when I'm on the gas...

but right when I let off...*WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB*

on the gas....nothing...

off the gas....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.....NOW WHAT!?? The noise can actually be FELT when I rest my foot on the dead pedal. It's coming from the driver side front wheel.

My car is over 5yrs old now.... is that what a busted wheel bearing symptoms are like?



OK I just went out to check on the car and ****...low and behold... 2 of the lugs were missing and the others were loose! I religiously torque every single bolt on my car.... just recalled leaving my car parked at a mall last week....

Guess somebody tried to jack my **** and tried to leave me to die....

sounds familiar..........I think their was a couple posts on this a couple of weeks ago.

 

My question now is.... do they just suddenly give out that way?

Everytime I've dealt with a crappy wheel bearing issue (wife's piece o' junk Focus) it's just given away suddenly. Jack your car up and tug on the wheel to see if the it has any play in it. If so, chances are the bearing crapped the bed.

 

**** man you got so lucky, that **** happend to my friends older brother and his wheel came off on the freeway. Luckily he is ok and didnt crash his car but it ruiend (cant spell) his rear right brake cause when the wheel came off it dragged that **** and his suspension got all fucked up. Hope you know you were hella lucky.

 

I can't believe how some people are so damn ruthless....I don't expect them to come back ...help me torque my wheels or even leave a damn note.....

but ****...you shouldn't be stealing in the first place...I wonder what spooked them into leaving?

I went around the car with my torque wrench that found that was the only wheel that was loose too.... those damn *** maggots....

 

This works, but not in every case. I had a front wheel bearing go on my Civic earlier this year. There was absolutely NO play in the wheel. We ended up replacing an upper control arm and both axles before doing the wheel bearing,and yes, it made a wub wub wub sound.

 

It was me, I want your K1's. Stupid locking lugnuts

DAMN! same EXACT thing happened to me! except i drove around for a couple days trying to figure out what it was.. even took it to an alignment shop for some reason .

then i finally looked at the OTHER wheel and that was it. bastard theifs
