VIR north video

P.S. I posted the part about you being good before I got to that part of the clip, but I stand behind my original statement. Having to brake in the uphill esses to avoid the car in front of you threw your line off, and the car didn't respond to your steering on the exit of the second turn. That forced you to enter the third turn from the wrong side of the track, and the rest was inevitable after that.

Yes, got rid of the WRX. The 1750 EGTs were something I could just never seem to resolve.. I was convinced the car was on the verge of a meltdown.. it was too difficult to work on, expensive, took forever to get parts. So I went to something I knew well... okay maybe I suck, but hey at least I suck cheaper now. 
I have some other BETTER video, of me NOT going off course, running down some of those BMW things and stuff. That was just at the end of the tape I grabbed the other night, and I have no shame in showing I'm fully capable of doing boneheaded maneuvers. I had the option of fighting the car or going off straight, I chose the better of the two options I think.

You were a pioneer with that WRX though, and being first has its share of headaches. Didnt you have the TXS dyno record for a while?
It sounds like all TXS really knows is drag racing however
road racing cars shouldnt run at 1750 deg!Its getting a lot easier to find parts now, and prices are coming down some. Stock hp is more than enough for me, so I dont have the lust for power that you have

Yep, I held the WRX HP/T record for a short while ( on street gas ) we saw about 290HP AT THE WHEELS (about 350 or so at the flywheel). But yep, that was a 4th gear pull on the dyno, very very very very (can i say that enough?) unindicative of real world road racing. It performed very admirably in the shop, but I have never been a drag racer, nor will I ever be.
I grew up on Mustangs, so I guess that's my density (triva points!).
