Default Car running rough D15b bottom end/z6 head running a p2p ecu

The vechile doesnt seem to be running right when driving it. It feels sluggish. Can I run the p2p ecu with this motor swap? It feels like it starts making power at 4 grand and redlines at 6 . Does the redline even sound right? i tried adjusting the dizzy and it just does not help makes the car idle worse and sound worse. Should I be running a p28 and this will solve all my problems? Maybe the obd2 ecu is not reading right because this is a obd1 motor?
