b16 ring gear in gsr transmission

b16 ring gear in gsr transmission
I got a gsr transmission and a quafe lsd on b16 ring gear. can i just put in the ring gear only or do i need to use b16 counter shaft also. if i can it will make things alot easier.

I always use a matched set. You could possibly get a whine since you are using two different gears with two different wear patterns. Countershafts are the same.
