squeal from rear brakes.
Have had a recent squealing from the rear when i step on the brake pedal... most noticeable at a dead stop. Techs...any ideas??? Can't figure it out.
How long has it been since you replaced the drum shoes? They may just need adjustment, though.
PS. What's up with the signature? Is that just a comical statement?

The shoes were still good, so I didn't bother replacing them at the same time.
There's a lot more to it than just spraying a spring. All the sliding/moving parts should be lubricated.
Next time I have my drums off, for whatever reason, I'll take a photo and point out the locations that need to be lubed, but it's any point where the assembly is hinged or has a sliding-contact point, basically. Just don't get carried away with it, and don't get any on the brake shoes.
