Default takata harness question

I'm about to buy a takata harness for my driver side bucket. i was wondering what is the best way to mount these? on a pillar bar? i know it's alot safer to mount it on a cross bar than just bolting down to the frame of the car. any suggestions? TIA.

The best way to mount them is attach the shoulder belts to your rollbar/rollcage.

Autopower and Kirk rollbars/cages can both be ordered with harness bars.

There's no point in getting just a harness bar.

It's not worth risking your life by wearing a harness without rollover protection.

Ahh but Reid I just noticed something. He not only wants a ghey harness bar, but he wants a CHEAP one. Maybe with a cheap one it just breaks off in the case of an accident so you'll get thrown out of the car instead of getting crushed if it rolls.. this guy is thinking I tell you!

Takata harnesses are not track legal, right? at least not here in the US. I could be wrong.

Reason for that assumption? Well, logical people who are going to install a rollbar that costs ~$400 do not spend $150 or more on a harness bar. There is no reason to, and it's a waste of money for a logical person who is interested in getting a rollbar. So, if you are illogically going to get a harness bar and then a rollbar or cage later, then you are uber we todd did in my opinion. Don't like it? I don't give a rat's ***.

Define "legal". They are not street legal to my knowledge. As for being used on a track.. some schools will not allow harnesses to be used without proper (read: your head is not 'proper') rollover protection for the safety of the student, some do. Autocross organizers don't care in my experience if you are using a harness or not and if you are using a harness they don't care if you are using rollover protection or not.

I have a MDM (Mexican Domestic Market) 1993 2000 GS-R (known in the US as a Sentra SE-R) whose alarm is always giving me **** because of it's wiring. And yes, the alarm was purchased and installed when the car was in Mexico.

You asked. We answered. You didn't like our answer, oh well. Doesn't make our answers any less valid.

not EVERYONE is as knowledgeable as you are alright?
Why the **** do people always post this? I HAVE NEVER CLAIMED TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE and am posting my opinion like everyone else.

it was a legitimate question and was exploring my options.
And you got a legitimate answer with so joking for free.

just cause you think you know **** you gotta be an *** to anyone that has a question?
Read above. And I am an *******, my friends in real life tell me I'm an *******. That's who I am, I'm not going to change on a message board so I don't **** some of you off. So yeah, I have to be an ***, that's just the way it is.
