Matt's Y49 CRX Build
Alright, so I had the 89 crx si for a couple years already, and I think its better late than never to start a build thread on here.
I bought the car completely stock from a Chinese dude a couple years back and it has gone through some minor changes since then. But im out of school now and am focusing all my attention on it and putting most of my money into it.
My plans are to have a fun as hell to drive crx. Im going to do a mild na build, redo/upgrade all suspension, and some interior stuff.
When I first got the car
(not me in the car)

Then skipping forward a year, same engine but with a few more parts.

But after riding around like that for a bit, things started to tick and my diff was going. One day it finally went. So with the gas money im saving, and becaues I lost my licence, I am building it properly this time and am paying close attention to detail.
As of now...

How it sits right now

Gauges and block off plate I made

I still wanted beat so I am keeping it simple with alpine components and soon alpine head unit.

Im taking out the engine tomorrow, and prepping the bay for paint.
Stay tuned for more!

So took about 3 hours to get it out, 45min to get it ready to pull and 2 hours to take out the damn axles that were stuck in the diff from the blown diff, there were shards from the bell housing in the diff jaming the alex ends in there. That pissed me off.

Only complication taking it out.

What will I find In the bell housing?

Hey! I found a nickle size chunk out of it :@

Going to clean the bay and engine and get it ready for paint.

I got a bit of work done today.
Separated the gear box cover and found this...

lol

I also cleaned the bay and slowly getting ready for paint.

After clean,

Also stated on the driver side wire tuck. I wont be running any windshield washers so the tank, motors, and lines are deleted.

For the squirter motors

With the left over washer hoes, I made super cool clear vacuum lines. I will get different size hoes to do all the vacuum lines.

Last but not least, I got this idea a while back and it works! just need to cut them down a bit.

Nice progress bro. I really want to get another honda and really really build it from the ground up. My last build was semi done from the ground up. IDK what I'm planning next but I love seeing builds like this, gives me more inspiration to do another build.
So got my whole wire tuck done and some random little stuff done too.
Driver side headlight wires (same as pass. side)

Added air ducts to help keep the bay cool.

And painted the strut bar wrinkle black.

So I got the block and head painted and it turned out great!

After

The injectors and Intake manifold were caked in this ****

Then I painted the fuel rail

Cover for the valves turned out great

As did the intake manifold
