Just bought a brand new 175 miles CRZ off the lot. Its been almost two weeks and I've already had some problems with the door. Its not cool when I have to enter a brand new car thru the passenger door.

Outside Door handle does not open the car door somedays. It doesn't matter if i use key or remote. It won't let me open it. Somedays, its perfectly fine. I softly lift the handle and the door opens. Anyone have this problem before?

 

if its only 2 weeks old why don't you just bring it back to the dealership, and let them take care of it for you. something like this should be under the dealer's warranty..

Yeah I brought it in today. They said they will let my car bake in the sun and then try to redo what happened to me. Car door only seems to not open on hot days. Hopefully they figure it out cause I have no car for the weekend~

they should give you a free loaner car if they are servicing your car.

I havent heard much of this issue...seems like a faulty lock actuator.

 

It's nothing to do with the lock - the door was unlocked. This happened to me as well when the driver's door was in the sun. It never failed to open, but I really had to pull.
I chalked it up to needing to break in a bit. I guess I'll have to wait til next summer to see if it happens again.

 

You may want to lubricate the door seals with ShinEtsu grease on both the rubber surrounding the door itself and the cabin. My girlfriend's '07 Accord occasionally had this issue and I narrowed it down to the rubber adhering a bit to itself - not melting but getting 'tacky'.

Cleaned and lubed both doors and the door is much better.

 

yea i work at the dealership I've seen a couple in the shop for this problem. i think it had to do with the locking mechanism

 

for a member named Einstein... never mind.. hope it gets fixed soon.

 

DUDE....with the car being two weeks old I would take it back to the dealer and try to get a new one...
