what would be the best street suspension for the rex? i'm lookin into tein super street. i just want something that'll give me a smooth ride, not something fast on the corners. this IS a daily.

When I first bought my teal 91 si, it came with what looked like almost new oem struts, and suspension technique lowing springs (silver).... That thing ran like a dream. So smooth, not stiff or too soft at all. Kinda reminded me of my old caddy. Might wanna look into that

i dont wanna run stock. its not low enough. i might run lowering springs on oem like suggested above.

This is the ST springs on oem struts, its a decent drop and going over bumps was SMOOTH and even from front to back. I really liked it and was suprised. Sorry for crappy pics but its all i have. I dont own the car anymore.

 

well i cant find the "silver" ones online, but there are some green ones. for just under 200

that drop looks good. I would think the ride would be stiff. Let us know how it works out for you, I may get them also.

 

If your gonna do spring/oem strut combo I would make sure to at least have a welder extend your tophats, or buy some top hats that someone alread fabbed.

how low does it drop? these look the same but only drop it 1" instead of 1.8"

make sure your front and rear shocks are working and arnt too weak from a lot of mileage
and then bigger the tires you can get on your crx the better it stays in a straight line and in contact with the road. aslo certain types of tires directional tires are smoother and quieter
check your bearings tie rods axles to maintain a smooth quiet rid. oh and balance the **** out of your tires.

 

^ill keep that in mind. i align my tires as soon as i get the car. i sill need an answer on the 1.8" or 1" drop. i saw one that sells both:

i might just get the 1.8's because lower is better looking. any advice against that? would that sacrifice too much comfort?
