Icon2 clutch squeal

Does anyone know why when I step on my clutch pedal....there is a knock and squeal noise? I don't feel any slippage as its wearing....but its the damnest noise? HELPPPPP

The groan is usually from lack of lubrication on the clutch fork pivot or where the slave cylinder contacts the clutch fork. You can lube the clutch fork easily by pulling back the boot and adding grease, and you have to use a mirror and a long/thin paint brush to get at the pivot. I've had temporary success with each method ha ha.

You were so right man...just a little lube and maintenance is what i needed! I very much appreciate your time and assistance in understanding the problem...I try to learn as much as i can from others.

It's more than likely the joint where the slave cylinder meets the release fork.

You'll need to pry the rubber boot back (away from the housing, towards the slave cylinder) and lube the joint.




I used white lithium grease on mine. Haven't had the noise return in some time now.

Seriously, though, the noise used to drive me nuts! It hasn't returned in at least two years. :knockonwood:

but this will fix your problem.....fixed my squeal and bird chirping noise. i used anti seize and it works fantastic.

I have the same issue and it's been driving me crazy, I do have the noise and sometimes I smell something like burning. the other thing is I have a very loud sound coming from the front wheel and gets louder if go faster , I think it's the front bearing. I'm not sure if these symptoms are related or no . any help ??

Is there any video or that shows how to do the lubrication thing please help
