Default Is there a demand for a groupbuy Mfactory custom gearing?

Hi,

i personaly drive a turbocharged B16A1 CRX with Y1 Cable tranny and i have a desperate demand for a longer 1st and 2nd gear while doing AutoX and TimeAttack events.

Unfortunatly there are no longer 1st and 2nd gears available for this gearbox, neither the standard hydraulic versions which come stock from honda.

I started a quote at mfactory and they told me that if i take 10 set's, the 1st, 2nd and mainshaft will cost 1500$ a set.

Much money, but unfortunatly it seems as if a new mainshaft is necessary too...

Are there any people out here who are interested in such a set? I don't want to make money, and i'am a 100% reliable person. I just see that this would be the only opportunity for me to solve my gearing problems.

Your best bet is going to be the road race forum man.

Also, you say longer but yet give no numbers to go off of for consideration.

I thought so too, maybe i will ask in roadracing forum as well.
concerning the exact ratios. I just want to hear if there is a general demand from ppl.
I think if there is one, the requirements will be quite similar and we can discuss different ratios in detail.

But from my side, i thought about 1st a bit shorter then current stock 2nd gear (something up to around 95kph@8000rpm) and 2nd right in the middle between stock 2nd and 3rd.

This gives you a very equaly spaced gears from 1st up to 5th with almost exactly 1750rpm drop on every shift at 8000rpm.

But if there are enough people who are interested, i'am ready for detailed discussions to make everyone happy with the ratios.
