Your door lock actuator is dieing. One of my rear doors has started intermittently now.

its locks n unlock when i want it to. only thin is when i unlock my door from the front makes a lound grilling sound. when i pull the lock stick w.e its call it doesnt make the sound.
When you pull the stick up, it does not activate the motor for the power door lock. Why it makes the sound is because it is constantly unlocking and stuck in a unlocking loop until it gives up. The lock is still working fine, and it will do what you want it to. If you read the treads, you will see there is a rubber bump stop that tells the lock "okay, door is now unlocked, stop unlocking". It crumbles over time with the hammer hitting it. I use electrical tape and rebuilt mine, and its still going strong.
I have a 96 accord with a similar issue. The only difference is that the rear doors will lock and unlock, but when it wants to. @professorman, how would i know for sure if it's the door lock itself? Is the lock acctuator and the lock the same part? Thanks.
The lock and the lock actuator are separate parts. All cars have locks, but cars with powered door locks have a little motor to pull the lock to open/close the lock. The actuator is that motor mechanism.
OKAY i fix the problem it was the rubber part but now i cant put the actuator back. i put it back and it will not open the door the stick part doesnt move at all.. do i have plug the white part on the actuator the moves onto something to make thing open? i dnt get it and i cant see **** took around 2 hr and still i cant get it to work. this is why i hate fixing my car i fix something and then something else goes wrong -_-

Did you hook the tab from the actuator onto the latch? Refer to post #8 in this thread:

Update: I replaced my door lock and actuator. They are working again. I have found that the long rod connected to the door **** is flexible enough to hook it to the lock while it's bolted to the door. Just make sure the clip is facing the right way (the long side should be facing you when looking inside the door from the top).
great thread...i was getting so annoyed just came up on a 94 accord lx...and everytime i unlock and lock my doors from the driver side switch ...it makes the loudest sound lol... its an attention grabber in a parking lot thats for sure
