just completed this,much brighter. good bang for the buck i bought them both for $27.00 out the door , homie hookups are great and now to the ?, is this safe or can the projecter or lenses be damaged because of the wattage,also what about fuses,can they pop. one more thing is the plug to the light fits .,but does not clip is this normal.any one who has done this your help will be appreciated . THANKS

 

mine blew up in the housing... a white film all over the inside... sux man... i had to get my whole headlite replaced...

 

I have had 9005 headlights in my projectors for WELL over a year now, not a single problem yet. I had a Silverstar burn out on me, but I think it was just defective. I've been using 9005 Cool Blues without a problem for many many months. It will not melt or blow up anything, I can assure you that. About the plug not clicking, you may not have shaved the guides out of the bulb base all the way down to the bottom, so the plug might not be able to seat all the way. I would check inside the bulb bases to see about that.

 

any more experiences with the bulbs blowing up . the only bulb that has blown up on me was a 9006 nokia, cheezey, ruined headlight but acura replaced for free

 

never heard of them blowing...that's the first case I've seen.

all i gotta say is...
it's the next best thing to HID's.
the light is alot brighter and whiter. it's fawkin dope.

Had a set, got some new piaa Plasma GT's and returned the H4's I had and got my dad the right Sliverstars for his 02 Accord. He loves them.

I had bulbs. I'm just gonna get a HID kit.

I didn't pay anything for hte PIAA's (I swapped out some Razo Premium White Zero's that burned out on me a few months after I bought them (Homie hook ups are good).

 

HOW DOES IT WORK, DO YOU cut down the tabs on the plug or the bulb?

Those are high bulbs converted to fit in the low headlights.
