My tranny recently gave out on my 91 EF Si and I am currently hunting down a replacement Si tranny so I can complete my DOHC ZC swap.
My question is if I am limited to a certain type of tranny I can use on the ZC? My friends told me my Si tranny would of been nice but I want to see what other better options I have and opinions from anyone else who has done this before.

EDIT: I found a shop that has good deals on S20, S40 and SG8 trannys, does anyone know if these will work nicely on the ZC? Perform better than Si trannys?

 

si should of made your zc feel great cuz of the short gears well if you could which you can cuz i found many get a si tranny even if it means going to the junkyards or craigslist idk i you want to go hydro tranny bro i heard alot of bad thingns about the conversion kits also you could try a dohc zc trans most came with lsd and short gears but problem is getting axels and half shaft
