Not that loud, very good looking though... first mod I did to my car mainly to replace the rusty stock muffler.

I don't like the way it looks coming out the passenger side. This exhaust looks much better, i have one that looks just like it but its custom.

I love my tanabe it is the best sounding exhaust I have heard. No bumbble bee noise just a nice deep sound. You won't be dissapointed with it. I do have a B16 so I don't know what it owuld sound like with a D series but it shouldn't be that different. Oh also it sounds alot like my friends DC exhaust on his GSR, almost identical except when vtec kicks in his has a little more metal sound to it while mine stays nice and deep.

flat black ES oval muffler with 2.25 Mandrel bendes and stock looking tip = good sound, HP gain + A stock look and no RICE!

The only other system I'd get besides that custom one would be the greddy MX

Yeah, the Tanabe Racing Medalion is one of the best sounding exhausts on the market. Ive had one on my CRX and now on my Civic (Same motor) and it sounds nice and deep...at idle and at a constant speed you cant really hear it but when you open it up some, the sound is very soothing. Its not like one of those ricer systems that are REALLY loud at idle, WOT, and simpy cruising. I think it has something to do with Tananbe's dual resonator layout...

Also, you can repack the muffler when the internals deteriorate.

I cut a piece of the bumper on both the passengerside and the driverside and swapped them. I used a plastic weld kit aswell as flexible bodyfiller to hold it in and finish it off.

More on topic though, the key to having the exhaust not raspy and buzzy is a large resonator. I'm using a plain OBX can with an 18" vibrant SS resonator and it makes all the difference.
