Hello, I have a 1991 Honda Accord which seems to be having some transmission related issues (usually does not shift gears automatically, and now frequently spikes RPMs randomly).

I brought it to the local transmission place to diagnose, but he said he couldn't do much because my S light stays on and does not flash; thus he cannot get the error codes.

Is there another way to get the error codes, and if not, does it seem worthwhile to get a used TCU and hope it solves both problems? Thanks,
