The first rendering was completed today so I thought I would let the cat out of the bag. This is NOT available yet, and there is no ETA... yet.

We have a target price but there are still too many variables so I'm not going to discuss price yet. We took all the feedback from the sheet metal pan and put it into the design of this pan. We are working hard to take care of everyone and we appreciate the support. Thanks guys!
really awesome!
I really was very happy to find an oil pan like this for my EG6 AWSD.
In the meantime, here is mine, not sold, of course (LOL) and welded with "arc welding"
thank you for your indulgence.

KAIZENSPEED / KStuned H2b Oil Pan
WHAT is the H2b oil pan and WHY do I need it?
Put simply, the stock oil pan is a joke for H2b swaps. Due to the angle of the engine when doing an H2b swap, the oil pan sits dangerously low to the ground and the dipstick reads incorrectly. Our H2b oil pan gives you an extra 1.5” of ground clearance and our oil pickup is located in the rear corner of the pan. This ensures you always have oil pressure! The stock oil pickup is in the center of the pan and the oil is encouraged to be in the front-most corner of the pan instead of surrounding the pickup tube where it should be!
We also recognized the need for a larger capacity oil pan. In an extreme drag race application such as the KAIZENSPEED Outlaw Civic it is not uncommon to fill a 2 quart catch can full of oil during an 8-second pass! Oil is your engines lifeblood and many factors such as high cylinder pressure and RPM, and extended RPM operation such as a road race car can cause an engine to fill up a catch can or to slosh too much oil away from the pickup when accelerating or changing direction. The KAIZENSPEED H2b oil pan holds a larger capacity of oil. Importantly, the oil pickup will always be submerged because of the location of our pickup and the design of our oil pan. The larger capacity also contributes to more consistent oil temperatures. Our oil pan also has the axle clearance built into it so there is no need to grind the pan rail! The KAIZENSPEED / KStuned.com H2b oil pan is a MUST if you have an H2b.
In Summary, you need the H2b oil pan because:
-Ground clearance! The stock oil pan sits VERY low in the chassis. Our oil pan gives an extra 1.5” of ground clearance!
-Comes PRE-NOTCHED for axle clearance! No more grinding on your oil pan!
- With the stock oil pan, oil can’t drain. A full quart of oil is left in the pan because the angle of the engine. With the H2b oil pan all the oil will be drained out when you change your oil.
-Dipstick shows overfull, so you never know how much oil to have in your engine. The H2b oil pan will include a dipstick that actually works!
-If you overfill the oil level to compensate, the oil is above the windage tray and will be sloshed around by the crank counterweights.
-H2b oil pan has the oil return already added (subject to change)
WHY the sheet metal H2b pan was discontinued:
The H2b oil pan has been a product in very high demand ever since we initially proposed the idea back in 2009. At that time we were working on the finishing touches of our H2b drag car and we knew that the stock oil pan was not going to work. After months of revisions and modifications to make it just right we began producing our first H2b oil pan from sheet metal and billet aluminum in early 2010. After a short period we realized that the cost to produce the sheet metal pans was too high and took too long. The sheet metal H2b oil pan was officially discontinued in fall 2010 as we focused on our online store: KStuned.com, tuning and racing. We realize that the need for the H2b oil pan is incredibly important and we’re working to produce a cast aluminum version to decrease the cost and the wait time.
WHEN will the cast aluminum H2b oil pan be ready?
There is no expected ETA for the cast aluminum H2b oil pan but the process is underway! The process of creating a 3D model, test fitment, and quality control will take time for many reasons. To produce a cast aluminum oil pan we will first need to create a digital 3d model of the pan. This will allow us to make quick changes to the design where required. Next, a pattern consisting of multiple pieces needs to be created and CNC machined. From those pieces multiple plugs are used to create the final casting. After casting, each oil pan must be machined. The drain plug and oil return plug must be drilled and tapped, the pan rail must be machined inside and out and also machined perfectly flat. Internal clearances are very tight in an H22 and the clearance around the main girdle changes depending on the year. It’s our plan to make a single oil pan that fits the H22, H23, H22a4, F22, and F23. The cast oil pan will allow for some nice changes not possible with sheet metal. The first change is our ability round the front edge of the pan where the header tucks underneath. This will allow for better header clearance with all headers and downpipes. The most important change will be having them in stock and ready for immediate shipment anywhere in the world!
It is our plan to produce large quantities of the pan at a time and to always keep inventory on hand for all of our customers worldwide. We plan to always have oil pan kits in stock and ready to ship. As of July 2011 (subject to change) it is our goal to provide a complete H2b oil pan kit complete with the following:
-KAIZENSPEED / KStuned H2b Oil pan
-KAIZENSPEED / KStuned pickup tube and screen *with gasket
-Dipstick for correct oil level measurement
*We plan to include an oil return port in the front. An additional port can be welded to the rear of the pan for catch-can drain-back if required.
*The H2b oil pan is for H2b customers ONLY, it is not for use with regular H22 engines.
We have started TWO LISTS: A Customer Priority List, and an Interested Customer List.
The customers on the Customer Priority List will be the first ones to receive the pans when they are ready. To be added to the Customer Priority List you understand and agree to the three steps listed below and click here:
1.Complete our normal online checkout process including your Name, Address, contact information and payment information. Your credit card will not be charged by filling out the form. We will contact you before your card is charged.
2.The H2b oil pan does not have an expected ETA.
3.The expected price is $399 but it is NOT FINALIZED!
To be added to the Interested Customer List fill out our regular feedback form by clicking here: In the "comments/questions” field let us know that you’re interested in the H2b oil pan. We will email you as soon as the H2b oil pan is ready.

Yes, it will be well before Christmas... But we still need to drum up a lot of interest to make this a success. Please spread the word, we need to see many more people on both the interested list and the priority list (described above)
It's good to see that you are creating a new oil pan. I know of a few people that I recommended this pan to that will be getting one from you as soon as they are in production. Keep up the good work supporting the few h22 guys out there

Excited.
