What shift knob do you prefer in your Track car?
Pretty much exactly what the title says. What shift **** do you have and why do you like it? While I feel like a complete tool posting this, I'm curious to see what you guys and girls have to say. I'm curious because I recently went from an OEM gsr shifter to an Flp. With the stock gsr I always liked more of a pistol style and couldn't stand a ball style, but now with the Flp its the exact opposite.
I'm posting this here over any where else because I honestly don't care to hear what Johnny Ricer has in his civic. I want to see what people who actually own dedicated track cars like.

every person is different. so borrow or buy a few ***** and see. i thought i liked the circuit hero one alot until i went to a mugen diljoe.
with that said..in before lock. wait stinky is on vacation. carry on. lol.

I'm using the OEM ****. The JDM ITR is decently heavy and feels nice. I did however purchase a brand new Skunk 2 **** for $20 but haven't put it on because it is etched with a 6 speed and not a 5 speed lol. It is very heavy and I think it would make shifting like butta.
I have some generic slim aluminum one that my wife got me a long time ago. Fits like **** (doesn't screw on like OEM) and I ended up just putting a bunch of duct tape on the shifter threads and jamming the ****er on there. Good for the past 4 years or so? lol

+1 for the awesome thread! Haters gonna hate because racecar
Type-argh "titanium" one I got who knows how long ago... on top of the superlong shifter.
OEM was my favorite on a short throw shifter... because it made it less short ?

Yes, the black one is made of some sort of plastic material, really light and feels comfortable. I am not so sure of the silver duracon, if I remember its aluminum.

Ask any racer, any real road racer, and they'll tell you it doesn't matter if you shift with a skunk2 or a type-r, a shift **** is a shift ****
Same here. It is shaped just like the Skunk 2 and AP1 shift *****.
Would these same racers tell you that it doesn't matter if you sit in a Sparco, a Recaro or a Racetech, a seat is a seat?!?!

I have OEM ITR on both the street car and race car so there's familiarity when jumping between the cars. But I may try the DC5 one sometime soon.
I have owned the Skunk2 one, it's sitting in my garage somewhere, for how fast we shift, I didn't like the weight...give me an offer and it's yours

john-the dc5 **** is prettymuch the identical shape to the itr. its just not red lettered.
