Icon2 H23a blue top w/ t2t4 tranny - is vss same as m2a4?

I just swapped in a h23a blue top and got a t2t4 tranny with it. I swapped everything from my h22a to make it obd1, which was successful without any check engine lights. Still for some reason vtec will not engage. I thought it maybe something to do with the vss? What do you guys think? The only sensor I didn't swap was the coolant temp sensor! Any help is much appreciated! I put the vtec pressure switch where the bolt was and also tried the a4 to d6 wire connecting trick!

Is the vehicle speed sensor on the t2t4 tranny the same as the m2a4 tranny? In others words, do I have to move any wires around to make the sensor work properly? My car isn't throwwing a vss code 17 even when I leave the sensor unplugged.

OBD1 P13 will look for for vss for vtec. Yes the Vss unit and all should be the same. Speedo work? got a p28 laying arond? p28 wont look for vss for vtec to troubleshoot

I think it would still be the same it's just that the T2T4 LSD trans don't have those pwr str hoses coming out of the VSS sensor like the M2A4 trans.

when I pulled off the tranny I ripped the wires that connected to the vss sensor. I crimped them back together after it happened, but I think that I may have broke the ground wire farther up the wire and didn't see it. So I will check that later tonight. I swapped the vtec oil pressure switch from my h22a, so that should work without the a4 to d6 wire bridge right? Well ESP, I'm going to need a tune soon when I get my pro 1+ and I will be using a chipped p28! Do you know of any good tuners?

Nice! I'm having a few idle issues with my p13 ecu, so I'll definitely have to have it tuned. It stalls randomly when the car is warm and I come to a stop. How much do you want for the p28? What kind of tuning software does james like to use? Hondata, Neptune, Crome, or something else?

Neptune or Crome p28 he does both same pretty much. Crome pro. You can buy the ecus all ready on here H-T etc with Crome and h22 basemap for $150 or under. P0 ecus work to as long as they have already been converted. I only used a p13 upon start up never ran on it and probably wouldn't fuel maps will be different. I would dolly it and get it dyno tuned once you get bugs worked out and p28 or P0 ecu with Crome Pro.
