Vtec Question
How you know if the Vtec is working? because i noticed a loss of power in my car its not so quick like before and nobody can give me a good answer. It could be a Short Ram Intake from AEM? thanks
What kind of car and motor do you have?
The DOHC VTEC is very easy to hear the VTEC, but the SOHC VTEC isn't nearly as loud.
If there were a problem with your VTEC valve or the oil pressure switch then you'd be throwing a check engine light, but there is one common way that VTEC won't work and will not throw any check engine lights:
Low on oil.
Check your oil level, because low oil will not allow the VTEC to function.
Check that first and then move on from there.

without more details its really hard to say.
If you have a b series motor w/ vtec, there should be no reason why you should not hear the vtec kick in.
Whether or not its not as powerful is another question though
