Default crx side molding on a civic hatch!?

has anyone ever seen this done before? are the sides of a crx the same lengths/dimensions as a civic hatch?
i have a '90 civic hatch that i recently did a crx front end conversion on. i, however, did not cut the front fender panels and use a half civic/half crx hybrid fender, for that clean civic look. (if you guys know what i'm talking about.) i left the plastic crx bottom end of the fender, that (on a CRX) should stream line with the crx's side molding. (the civic does not have this lower side molding, but you honda heads should know this)
i was wondering if i could install the side molding from a crx onto my civic to give it a one of a kind completed look.
so, basically, are the dimensions the same? i.e. is a civic door the same as a crx door. and are those ever so rusty back lower quarter panel section in front of the rear wheel the same dimensions as a civic?
at first glance the cars seem pretty similar as far as all this frankenstien **** goes. i would definitely love some feedback/criticism on my ideas. thanks.

Wish I could help you out. You'll find that there are a few people on here that are cool and glad to help out, but most of the members of this site are stuck up douche bags and will generally tell you to go find the info yourself. Just giving you the heads up, man. Sounds like an interesting project you're working on.

I can tell you owning crx and a hatch.

They are totally different animals.

I ended up having this discussion with a buddy two days ago.

Since we were missing a door moulding and I had a spare crx moulding.

Totally different animals.

Now that is the door moulding.

Lower moulding.

The issues with the little plastic skin on the door and also lower trim moulding is they bolt to bottom of the chassis and also rear wheel arch.

So I decided to try it since I have spares from my old hf crx.

I decided to try and line up the spacing to see.

That is a negative rampart.

The wheel arch is almost 6" further away from the plastic trim.

here's my car. i need the lower door molding only. i'm not going to use the mid section door molding. just the lower half. is the CRX's longer? cause if so i could be able to cut it down to size... maybe?
