Default starting problems

every once in a while {about every other month) my 93 accord will randomly not start. It will do it once and not do it again for a long time most of the time it will start up roughly after two or three cranking cycles but this last time it did it it took it about 30 minutes to start luckily i wasnt in a hurry when it happened. It is not a fuel problem.

Actually, just the opposite. It seems to crop up only when the engine is at operating temp.

Take the main relay out and look at it.

There is a sticked faq thread at the top of this subforum. Compare it to what you see there.

I have traded keys with my son. No troubles since. It's been about a week now. (Ya know, the key has some sort of chipset in it as a security feature) Just to be clear, when the trouble arises, the engine will crank normally, just not fire.

Go to where you posted this thread in the accord section, click on FAQ sticky (it will be one the gray highlighted threads) go to electrical, and it will be the first links you see. I would suggest that everyone who posted here look into this.

Only cars '96 and newer have the immobilizer.

This is a reply to 92 Accord not starting.....I have a 92 Accord that will not start. I replaced the main relay and it seemed to fix all problems. After about 2 months the car will not start. I did some reading and I found somethings to check. I discovered oil in the spark plug canals so I replaced valve cover gasket and grommets, new plugs and wires. After all insatallation the car will turn over but will not start. It seems to turn over very good but at the same time it makes a lite clicking sound that would occur when you have a dead battery. The cables are corroded and the battery was low on water but it still cranked over fairly well but had that slight clicking sound. Could the distributor or something along those lines be wrong? Please help any good advise will be highly needed before I dump alot of money. Thank you!

Swapping keys did not resolve the issue. The 2002 Accord would not start again the other night.
