the car has a d15b2 engine and when i come to a stop it starts bogging but will stop after a few seconds or just die....i got the car up to 70 on the hwy and lost power i kept trying to give it gas but nothing. i pulled over and it started just fine.

i dont know the problem, i just got the car today

car is a 1989 honda civic hatchback

 

Check out the rotor in the distributor. Sounds like the rotor screw is gone.
