Some Teaser picts of $400 paint job.....

Here are some "teaser" picts of the new paint job on the H22 hatch..... 2002 BMW Sterling Pearl Gray Metallic. It has 4 coats of DuPont basecoat, and 4 coats of DuPont clear..... for a low hookup price of $400 (including some blocking, and some welding on my tailgate). Looks super dope in the sunlight (the pictures do no justice). It was in the middle of getting color-sanded, then buffed tomorrow and ready to go. I'll take some more picts on Friday with the CF hood & wing on, along with the Type-R (Autodynamic) style front lip.
Damn... the kid who's picking it from me this weekend is getting a sweet ride

Thanks for the replies... the car is done now, but I'll take picts of it tomorrow when I have time with all of the stuff on.
The coupe was a friend of mine.... he got hooked up on that, but then he has 3 other cars that my friend is also going to paint fo him.
Not selling the DA... keeping that for now while my "new" car is being shipped from over seas. Besides, I like driving around in the stock DA (as funny as it sounds) rather than my H22 hatch.... go figure.
As for the lip - hell no, painting it looks fugly... looks clean painted flat black, along with my CF hood an CF duckbill wing.
i think i see some over spray on the rear passanger window on the lower molding towards the door!
its a good paint job but no where near as good as my 87 dollar paint job!
(i work at a body shop and got a complete championship white paint job except for under the hood for material cost which was 87 bucks the engine bay is frost white and everything else is cw)
i like it did u do it your self in your garage?
looks good

Nah.. that overspray is from a previous owner... it's always been there.
Heh... everyone thinks I paint my own cars. No... a friend of mine who works at a body shop does show-quality paint jobs, and can also do really good air brushing - he's being doing this for well over 6 years now. No garage (that's ghetto when it comes to painting a car)... it was done in a paint booth.
