Hi i have a 91 civic si hatch.

Anyways only on super hot summer days when i drive my car certain bumps and turns make my seatbelt light and door light come on. If i pull my door in hard it will turn off.

But it will come back on shortly after on another bump or turn.

I tried opening the door while driving, and only the door light comes on.

So what would make both door light and seatbelt light come on at the same time?

 

Do you have the little seatbelt light near the rear view mirror?

If so that is what is causing your issues.

Unplug it and the belt/ light issue will go away.

 

^^ Thanks but i unplugged that thing years ago.

It would always start beeping when both the lights came on. Very annoying.
