EP3 aftermarket exhaust loop hole for the popos?

The stock EP3 muffler has been discontinued, so the only option is aftermarket. Does that mean if my muffler is under 95 db (going by CA exhaust noise regulations) then the cop cannot write a ticket? And if he does so anyway it can be dismissed in court? After all the stock muffler is discontinued...only choice for replacement is aftermarket.

I am sure there are stock spec aftermarket mufflers out there...

I also believe that there are stock spec aftermarket exhaust... try calling a garage and see if what they can get.

I know that's what the law states, but I wouldn't be too concerned about it being OEM or not. And honestly most cops don't know **** about cars (around here anyway - could be different in Cali with all those ricers

). So long as it looks "stock" and isn't loud you shouldn't get any problems.

I would LOL at a cop for crawling under your car to see if the muffler is stamped with Honda vs Napa lol.
