Default Ground control coilover springs

I ordered a set of GC with 400F/450R
The springs come labeled 0800.250.400 which is supposed to be for the front and GC 200.64.77 which comes out to about 440lbs. Is there a reason they label the springs differently to tell which are for the front and rear?
I had them installed but the guy installed the 400lbs springs in the rear and 440lbs in the front.
The rear seems really high. I though these would lower the car .5" at the highest setting.
Is it because they were put on wrong?

It doesn't always only lower the car.5''. it wil depend on the length of the springs as well.

if the rear is too high, that is such a easy fix it's stupid. lol

When the car is at a level ride height all adjusters will be on different heights.

Protip- Don't have someone else install your suspension.

Suspension is really easy to do, only time consuming. You really can't mess it up. Though i guess you can if a mechanic can do it wrong.

I suggest demanding a refund for the mechanic being a dipwad and doing it yourself at home. He must have the coil sleeve set on max height, which, on the top perch, could probably raise your car from the stock height.

The reason I didn't do it myself at home is because I don't have a spring compressor.

the springs are backwards though.
I wanted 400lbs front 450lbs rear.
Are the springs exactly the same except for the rate?

Then swap them out. Jack up the car. Secure it with jack stands. In the front loosen or remove the 14mm pinch bolt on the fork then the remove the long 17mm bolt running through the bottom of the fork. Dial the coilover all the way down to make it easy to remove the whole assembly. At this point you can knock or slide the fork off. Remove the 2 14mm bolts on the strut tower. Slide out the shock assembly. The rears are much easier.

If two of the sleeves are shorter than the other then you'll have to remove the tophats and swap the springs and sleeves.

Install is the reverse of removal. Done. I can do a corner in 10 minutes or less.

When you see how easy it was you'll kick yourself for paying someone to do it. Next time see if you can rent a set of spring compressors from an auto parts store.

The 400lb's

are 8'' tall, 2.5 inch wide

The 450's Should 7'' 2.5'' wide

I could not find the exact spring on their site, so that is somewhat of a educated guess lol

But they are basicly the same. ones shorter, and lower spring rate.

The 400's in rear could explain the heigher height, due to the extra inch.

he has the sleeves on already, don't need to take off the forks. op should only have to lower the collar and swap springs.

Wrote that at work when I should have been working. Everything has to come off in order to swap the spring front to back so top hats have to come off anyway. If a pair of the springs are shorter then that would explain the ride height issue.

The sleeves are on but they can still spin around when I turn it without loosening. Is this a bad install or is that how they are?
I know the no name brand coilover sleeves that came with the car had sleeves that did not move at all.

The collar is the piece that is tightened. Sleeves are free to rotate when the springs aren't compressed (ie when the car is jacked up and the suspension is hanging). Just remove the coilover assembly, take off the top hat, swap springs, reassemble, and reinstall. If the sleeves are different lengths, the longer set goes in the back.

200.64.77 is converts to: 7.87" (length) 2.52" (inner diameter) 430.18(lb/in). The springs are roughly the same height, so just swap them and adjust ride height to your liking.
