I was having a hard time undering how people make jigs for merge collectors. How there made how they find the angles etc. If anyone has any pictures or info on how they made theres in detail including finding the angles would be great.

 

I'm a noob, and even I know there is a cajillion page thread about this. Though, I understand how it might be difficult to find, especially with the round about title of "post pictures of your collector jigs"..

Thanks I actually found that post and I see everyone has a pretty simular setup for jigs some angle iron with some square tubing bolted together. Not to sound stupid but i'm not sure what I'm looking at or how I would even go about making that like measurents and stuff. Im confused how it works and how I would possibly make/use one.

 

I dont want to come off as a d*ck, but really... if you can't figure it out, I don't think you'll be able to make a manifold or such... cause figuring out how chop saw jig works took me aroung 5-10minutes... after that I made one for myself. The only problem was to figure out degrees of turn for second cut for 4-1 collector, but then I came up with formula and now that doesn't bother me either.

P.S. What I really wanted to say is - if you would really want to make one, you would sit down at a table, focus, gather everything you know about basic geometry and you would be able to sort everything out about making one for yourself in half an hour!
