My S2000 1/4 Updates -Video and Pictures
I have not posted much information but now that I'm starting to get the car close to were I wanted I figured I would have this thread open to show you guys the progress. The car is my daily driven S2000. It is Full weight + the hard top. I'm not sure what the actual race weight is but I'm a big guy(330lb)
Here is the setup.
Stock 2.0 Bottom end
Stock Transmission
Stock Diff (still with 4.10 I rev to 9700rpm so I can barely pass in 4th)
Brian Crower Stage 2 All Motor Cams
Ferrea Beehive Springs/Retainers
Real Street Performance Turbo Kit with GTX3582R
AEM EMS Series 2 tuned by Jay Meagher @ Real Street Performance
ID2000cc Injectors
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump (had some problems with my other pump)
ACT HDG6 Clutch Kit
Hoosier Drag Radials 255/50/16 on Stock AP1 wheels
Here is the video and some pictures. Best pass was 11.2@131. Boost was 14psi in 1/2 and 21psi in 3/4. Makes 530whp on that hp. I need some work on my launch and the 1/2 shift. I should go 10.99 next time out. The 2 step was set a little too low and I kept bogging hard causing a horrible 330.

Different angle and this one has a outside view of the 11.2

Here is another video that we did a few weeks ago.
This video was a little more boost(23-24). I plan to take it to the track at that boost after I run 10.99@21psi. The plan is to keep making small changes as I'm not trying to make any records or anything and this is my daily driver.

After checking the logs it made 13psi in first and second. On Friday I will go again to the track with Jay and he can play with the 2 step to get the car to leave better.
Thanks guys
Thanks guys
Forget the boost by gear. With those tires and that power level you should have no problem hooking 21psi. More boost off the line and 21psi in all gears this thing will go 10s
My problem is not traction it is keeping power out of the transmission in 2nd gear. I already blew one rolling into it in second gear. That is the weakest one on this transmission.
That is the second problem. I have had good luck with it on these tires. Wheel hop is what kills it and so far I have not experienced any wheel hop with these tires.
When I went on my normal street tires I did and I'm not doing that again lol.

So tonight I decided to go to another local track. CFRC. It is a 1/8th mile track. The great thing about it is that it is open for way longer than my local 1/4 track so you get way more passes. Unfortunately it rained out but not before I got my best 1/8th to date.
Previously my best was the following.
60ft 1.865
330ft 5.014
1/8th 7.489
mph 101.73
Today I went
60ft 1.789
330ft 4.923
1/8th 7.355
MPH 103.79
The difference was I launched it harder but still kind of bogged. It landed at 4500(on my 11.2 pass it landed at 3800) and from there I put more boost in 2nd gear(13-14psi to 18psi), then in third I put more boost 21-22psi vs 24psi falling to 22).
So I'm pretty happy as it means my 10.99 is very close. The more seat time I get the quicker it will go. It sucks because at my local 1/4 track you only get 2-3 passes a night. That's just not enough seat time. I don't want to bench race but I will lol. I think I should hit my goal of a 10 second time and I should do close to 135-136. I know I need more cowbell leaving the line just trying to avoid a broken diff right now.
Anyway enough rambling here is the video.

Sick, Our Cars are in very similar!
Cant wait to see some more.
I am going to hit the dyno again before i take mine back to the track.
I managed a 1.65 60' at MIR this past weekend. It seems to be pretty hard to break the tires loose

What did you run?

So I went to the track tonight. I put race gas a few miles from the track and drove in. Here is the result.

Pass to the left is my best so far. It broke up a little bit in fourth. I'm guessing it was the race gas still mixing with the pump gas so it did not mph like it normally does. Normally it backhalves 30mph so it should of done about 133. Either way I was happy.
Next pass I slipped it better and finally it did not bog, when I shifted into second I knew it was going to be a good pass, then I shifted into third and it almost went straight to rev limiter. Let off and got back on it same thing. Clutch was done for that night.
If you look at the 60ft and 330 you know the pass was going to be killer. Oh well next time. Car is going to be down for a a few weeks as I backed into a car a little later
Stupid moment but broke a tail light and the trunk won't close right. So I'm going to get that taken care of.

I'm glad to hear your car is doing better. My car dead hooks with those Hoosiers man. The problem the hole time has been bogging.
