Posting this for a friend, he dropped a valve and is parting out the engine, its a legit b18c5. The head is damaged pretty bad, and has a couple bad valves, and the sleeves are cracked and one of the pistons, but everything else is salvageable like cams, crank, rods, manifold, everything is for sale. Feel free to text him and make offers, he needs money asap 443 824 4830. DO NOT PM ME, I WILL NOT RESPOND.

 

any of the valves still in good shape. a friend of mine needs 1 or 2.

 

I ended up buying the head, im keeping the intake valves, but if you need exhaust valves, ill sell however many he needs.

Heres the VIN JH4DC2319WS002978, from the free info ive been able to gather, car is a theft recovery as of 11/19/2003, before you all jump on me, as somebody that has had a car stolen before, that does not automatically mean it was recovered without an engine. When my car got stolen all they took was the ecu and vtec controller and it was deemed "Totaled". Jaron, bought the engine less than 6 months ago for 2k from a guy who owned a legitamite ITR that lived in Aberdeen that said he was going K series. Was this out of his car? I cannot say with certainty, but it is a theft RECOVERY.

Write your Honda-Tech identity (name) on a piece of paper or file folder.

Hold it up next to the VIN on the motor.

Take a picture and post it.

 

For the time being this is the best I can do, I will probably be with him tomorrow, and if so I will gladly take a pic with my HT identity next to the vin.

 

Im not very computer saavy, so I dont know how to blow the picture up, but if you save it, you can probably zoom in to see the vin.

 

Enlarging a photo that small will only make it blurry and impossible to read the VIN.

A larger photo would be nice.

Not everyone steals ****. Im so sick of every itr part on this forum being called stolen or everything close to it. You ever think that all the itrs that have been wrecked might have been parted out?

 

Yes actually, you took the thread down and Jaron had a buyer for the block, so he sold it. Then the thread got bumped again, which is the only reason this thread made its way back to the marketplace. Just about everything on the engine is sold now, all he has left is the intake manifold. I can try to contact the guy that bought the block, just to give you all the satisfaction of proving its not stolen, but I cant promise anything.

 

THANK YOU, simply because the type R is such a prestigious car, and god forbid they ever get wrecked or STOLEN 8 YEARS AGO AND RECOVERED AND PARTED OUT, ive been getting chewed out for this bs, I bet if this was a ls or a single cam nobody would care. Its good to see somebody understands.

Exactly, thank you! Anybody here go to Japan and pull the engine yourself that is now in your car? Dont all raise your hands at once. I provided a vin for this engine, explained the reason the car was parted out, and was even able to give an approximate date of when it was probably sold to the person that Jaron bought it from and you all still question my integrity, when some of you probably have no idea where your engines came from, and dont care to know. Glad people are finally being rational.

 

The thread was never "taken down." It was never locked, moved, or anything else. It has always been in the Marketplace, giving you more than enough time to post a better picture of the VIN.

If the engine is gone, it's gone. No point in going on a wild goose chase.
