Default RSX-S Straining at 3k and up.

I noticed a week or two ago that my 2002 RSX-S starts to bog or strain itself after about 3k rpm. I feel a lot of what I can only describe as a vibrating/scrapey feel from the pedal.

My check engine light came on a day or two later, so I took it to the Zone to have them check the code, and they said it was a bad fuel sensor (if I remember right he said fuel MAP sensor.) I just haven't been to the dealership yet to bug em for one.

Could this be the direct cause, or does it sound like there may be a mechanical problem?

Get me the exact code from autozone.

If your CEL light is on with a fuel code sounds you are in "limp" mode so your car is just throwing lots of fuel at the engine for safety.
