91 Sedan
Read the second paragraph it has most info first is just a lil history.
Ok Honda-Tech, I'm dumbfounded. I recently aquired this 91 Civic Sedan, 1.5L DPFI. I got it from a friend that drove it to work and such and one day it quit on him, he said **** it and baught a new car. He was going to scrap this car when I told him I needed a car. He gave me this car and said there was only 1 problem with it and no mechanic he has taken it to has been able to fix it. It was a funny problem you had to hold the key in the "II" position or the car would die. They replaced the lock cylinder and such never fixed it... I fixed it, it was the electrical switch that bolts to the lock cylinder HA...
But now a new problem is happening I HAVE NO CLUE I am Dumbfounded. So the car will not start. It has power, the ECU blinks once when the key is turned and thats it (no code WTF???). I checked for spark (got spark), I checked for fuel (go enough for a DPFI I think), I checked compression (150PSI on all except #4 it has 149 LOL). Everything is there right? So I get mad and push start the car....WTF IT RUNS. This pointed me to a main relay problem so my *** goes to Autozone and buys one. After getting the old one out and the new one in I was like BAM I GOT THIS!!!!......boy I was wrong still won't start. I push start it again and check timing( its spot on!). Also the Tach don't work, every forum I've read says ignitor so I'll try that and see. I'm stumped in all my other ed's I've swapped b's into them and NEVER had a problem, I leave 1 car stock and I can't keep it running. I just want a commute car thats why I got it.
Parts that have been replaced as of current:
Dizzy ( it looks brand new I didn't replace it)
Dizzy Cap
Rotor
Spark plugs
Spark plug wires
Main Relay
I think I'll try the fuel filter but I don't think this is the problem... >< Any help would be AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!
Edit: Everything is stock even the hub caps on the steelies very unmolested car.
Edit AGAIN: Sorry I'm posting from work I forgot about the tach not working.
