Rays anodized red lugs
Im thinking about buying a set of anodized red Rays lugs to run on my SSR comps.
If anyone is running Rays lugs on their wheels please comment or/and post pics.

just wondering
where is a good place to buy them?

currently using a set for my wheels....and so far no complaints...also, remember to take it easy when using your tire iron for application and removal...they somewhat scratch easily when too much pressure is applied. don't need to torque them in there...just hand torque is good enough with these lugs. another thing to remember is that under continous direct sunlight one or two lugs on each wheel will fade to a pinklike color...i still can't complain even after that.
i like them very much it's just a little hard for what they're worth...

I got a few sets from Dave at R & D. They are very nice, just be sure not to overtorque or the will be junk
Superlight and come with 7 sided lugs also for locks!

uhhh, I don't know about you guys, but IMHO:
anodized lugs will scratch very easily
anodizing fades
7 sided
they will round off easily, especially aluminum
$140
And what was that about hand torquing only?! Not on my car!
there is lots of better stuff out there, for MUCH MUCH cheaper

the 7 sided lock has a notch to fit the key onto it without stripping the nut when your torque it.

cant guys with kyokugens take the volk lugs off then? since all the kyokugen lugs are 7 sided....but knowing those, the key is probably stripped to hell.

No offense but I wouldn't compare the Volks to Kyokugens. I have heard of dozens of the Kyokugens stripping. Anyone who actually has a set of the Volks will tell you that they WILL NOT strip.(Meaning rounding off the lugs) Any lugnut can strip the threads if OVERTIGHTENED.

If you guys are looking for another option, try Splinedrives. They look great, they are light, and they are designed with a swiveling base so they won't damage your rims.
I have them on my car, and they are great.
