Hey guys, I have been dicking around with a relay for my spal and have looked at a hundred diagrams, and everyone is different, and I was wondering if some one can give me the exact wiring to make this work with my factory rad fan wiring, I dont want it on a switch, just want it to come on when I set it in hondata. It is just a generic 30/40a 12v automotive relay. Thanks.
Save yourself a lot of headaches and just use the stock wiring. It will not give you issues.
If you are hell bent on using that kit, 85 is A12 on a obd1 ECU, 86 is switch 12v, 87 is battery power (thick gauge wire), 30 goes to the Fan as power.

Thanks man, I will try that relay setup. I would use the stock wiring but the fan pulls a ton of amps and would melt that tiny wire.
Spals and stock wiring don't work too well.
Using the stock wiring to flag a relay like your wanting to do is the way to go.
I had to run mine with heavy awg wire, relay and a 60 amp breaker. Haha
I've had to revise the wiring several times. At first it would pop 30 amp fuses left and right. I had a fuse fail when I had thinner wire on running the relay, it caught fire, luckly I got it put out before it got into the fuel system.
Those spals were the end of my ect problems, but you have to spend the time to wire them correctly.

Wire from the battery (fused if you wish) to the 30 on the 30/40A relay.
Wire from the fan (Positive side) to 87 on the 30/40A relay.
Wire from chassis ground to 86 on the 30/40A relay.
The stock wire that was going to the OEM fan to 85 on the 30/40A relay.
For the power/grounds I used 10ga wiring. This was for my SPAL PN: 30102044 fan.
Wiring it like that will run off the ecu normally.
