My First Timing Belt Change 2000 Accord
Hello, fellow Honda people!
I recently completed a timing belt change on my son's 95 Civic and my own 92 Civic.
I'm wanting to change the belt of my wife's 2000 Accord with the 2.3 four cylinder and would like to hear any advice or see links to videos or the process in pictures.
Do you think it is significantly tougher than the Civic change?
thanks to all

Refer to the Accord FAQ for timing belt change.
I believe, like any honda, the crankshaft bolt is probably the toughest part of the job.
If you are replacing the water pump, as you should, a deep socket 10mm will be of help when taking off one of the bolts.
Other than that, follow the instructions and do it. However, if you are still iffy, you should consider buying http://www.ericthecarguy.com/fix-it/ timing belt video.
This guy is like a Honda guru on Youtube, great information.
Good luck.

I too am about to replace my timing belt (but don't have the ***** to do it myself yet) I plan on buying the parts from Majestic and just taking it to the local mechanic. I'm trying to just buy all the parts but am having trouble finding which parts I would need. Anyone have any suggestions?
I would buy the front oil seal retainer kit and install that in too while you have the timing covers off. This retainer keeps the front oil seal in it's bore, because some of the F22Bx engines has have their front oil seal pushed out for some reason such as high crankcase pressure, etc. This is a recall for the 94-97 Accords that Honda had. I bought one and installed it on my H22 a week ago. Just for a piece of mind. I know you have an F23Ax engine, but this retainer kit will work on your F23Ax engine by keeping the seal in it's bore.
Part number: 06923-P0A-306. Cost me $2.00 at Honda.

I am looking to do some beginner or novice level projects on my 2000 accord. It sounds like this is the group of people to give me some good suggestions. This is my daily driver so I cannot take on anything that would go over a weekend. Any ideas. Thanks.

It didn't take me no more than 4 hours to do and get it completed. When my buddy and I did mine on the F22B1 I had, it took us 6 hours to complete, and that was when I was a rookie. Shouldn't take the whole day.
