i have a 96 honda accord lx, 2 door coupe. i hate it. but anyways my tail lights will not go off. i checked both the fuse box under the hood and the steering wheel. everything is fine. so i can take out the fuse, and it will go out, but when i put it back in it just goes back on. my front lights dont come on, and the light switch is off. i just cant figure it out. plz help.

 

You have a short to ground somewhere.

 

Are the tail lights on or is it the brake lights? If the brake lights won't turn off I would check the brake switch by the pedal...

 

I am thinking brake switch also.

 

Another vote for brakelight switch.

 

How about the "stop" the brake switch makes contact with.....find a strange "crayon" thing in the floor board.....46505-SA5-000

 

as for the "stop" the brake light switch contacts to turn the lights off... i have super glued a quarter in the place of the stopper and it works great and permanently
