hi
im trying to paint my wheels to either dark bronze or gunmetal for my spa yellow ap1.
i don't know which will fit the car better.....
it's on stock 16 inch chrome wheels now.. don't really like it....

please recommend some great quality wheel paint.
and where i can get it.

Do it right the first time, spend the money and get them powder coated

 

Agreed but if you are going to paint them with spray I've always had good luck out of engine enamels. They have ceramic in them and are heat resistant as well as corrosion resistant, and they cover great. Also if you want to save some time and money so you don't have to have the tires removed, go to WalMart and get some large size note cards. You can wedge them in the lip between the tire and the wheel to keep paint off your tires. Again just for the record powdercoating is always the best option

 

those wheels also look polished. be sure to properly prep them or the paint wont stick. the note card trick works really well.

 

Yeah I forgot to mention that since they're polished you need to prep them extra good and probably lightly sand them or even the best paint will flake off
