Clear Coat Peeling - cheep fix?
Hello,
My 1989 Honda Accord's clear coat is peeling pretty bad in about 4 different spots. The trunk, the sides of the car in between window and sun roof and now a little on the hood. I'm in grad school right now and going to buy a new car when I start working. I only have a year left with the car but it's getting embarrassing.
How much should it cost to get it fixed? or is there anyway I can fix it myself? I know ZERO about cars BTW but pretty handy.
Thanks

Well....I mean depends on what you like. You get what you spend. Like me I had a 95 with pretty bad oxidation so I took a 4OO grit sandpaper cost no more then .75 cent a sheet. You can primer then paint. Me I was cool with the all black primer I spent more more then 3O bucks including materials.
i dont think this guy wants to murder out the accord just yet
you could actually compound it and polish the dull spots to look shiny, but thats a strange way to go about it, and its still a lot of work
there is no "stuff in a bottle" you can just wipe on though
we've got a pretty knowledgeable detailing forum on here you can go bug them, or search
FYI honda taffetas white is actually just single coat with no clear, so it can be brought back to life
