Default hesitation and bogging?

at idle...it would hesitate before it can rev smoothly. there's a slight hesitation?? once i try to punch it, the bike will BOG bad and not go anywhere and sometimes die. i have no clue on what to do. i have a 99 zx-6r all stock. it feels like i'm not getting enough fuel or too much fuel. any help would be appreciated. thx

sounds like a lean condition. are you sure its all stock including all the plastic parts of the air intake? an aftermarket air filter can cause this.

take it in to a shop. It could be something as simple as gummed up carbs, bad gas, clogged fuel filter etc..... it all depends. If you are not familiar with the bike, take it to someone who is....

good luck.

what's the choke set at? Is it warmed up? Safe bet is carb clean/jet/sync

how much should it cost on average to tune the jets? and re-calibrate the carbs? do you guys think it's something internal like bad rings? also, this all happened when i laid my bike down. actually, i didn't lay the bike down my buddy did. he was trying to get on the bike when the bike tipped over on it's right side. it broke off the brake lever and the right turn signal. could a bad brake lever cause this? right now, there's NO front brake lever attached. it's just sitting there until i get my carbon fiber one's in. there's only light scratches to the right fairing... also when i put the bike back upright it was hard to start? any other thoughts?

you would be burning oil if your rings were shot...oil smoke out the exhaust is bluish gray...

if you're running real rich, you'll see black smoke out the tail pipe.
