Default d16a6

i recently bought a d16a6 intake manifold to make my daily driver multipoint. the throttle body was missing so I put another one on. the issue is, it has another line coming out of it that the d16a6 throttle body doesnt, but at the same time, is missing the little chamber like thing with a line coming out of it that attaches to the intake manifold

d16a6

non d16a6 throttle body

Dashpots are commonly used in dampers and shock absorbers. The hydraulic cylinder in an automobile shock absorber is a dashpot. They are also used on carburetors, where the return of the throttle lever is cushioned right before the throttle fully closes and then is allowed to fully close slowly to reduce emissions of sudden deceleration (compared to deceleration without a dashpot)

so it should be fine capped? wont affect gas mileage?

yeah basically it makes it so your throttle body doesn't clamp shut so quickly when you let off the throttle abruptly.
it's just for emissions.
if it's a drop in mpg, it will be negligible.
