my girlfriends 2000 4cyl vtec has been dying sometimes on start for a couple weeks and now wont start at all. it will spark three times then stop. her dad thinks its probably the ignition control module, any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Key to pos II/on, does the cel and fuel pump prime?

When trying to crank, do you have spark at the plugs?

 

Do you hear the Main Relay click when you turn the switch to the on position? Do you dash lights flicker?

 

ha, thanks guys. went to check that stuff and noticed the immoblizer light was blinking, looked it up. realized girlfriend had lost her other key and was using the backup. found the other key and all is good.
easy fix.
