What alarm do you guys recommend??
What alarm is hard to deactivate??? i dont want the thief to be able to disable the power to the alarm, which is why i'm thinking of an alarm that sounds my horn... so i dunno guys... shed some light on this for me...
It's not that. Do a search. This topic is discussed three to four times a week.
Anyway, my vote is for the Clifford Avantguard4. Great alarm. Alot of money. Look down a few posts and you will see haloseven selling one for a good price.

What do you want the alarm to do, how much do you want to spend? Any well installed alarm with a $40 battery backup will stay powered up if the battery is disconnected. For a basic alarm with battery backup and good installation figure $300.
you have to give us a budget.. we can sit here listing model numbers all day but if their not w/in your budget then thats useless info to you... you can also do a search theres been MANY threads on alarms and I've responded to more than a handful of them... Clifford AvantGuard is a very good alarm but it will cost you (alarm and install) but it does have a lot of features ( to name a FEW multi point + wireless immobilizer, headlight automation, rain check, sunroof/window closure, door lock/unlock, batt back up siren, headlight delay (to light your path after you park), dome light supervision, remote start/climate control, among many others)...
how you have it installed is very important.. if you ahve a bomb *** alarm unit but a bad install its not going to do much to protect your vehicle... make sure you get a good alarm w/ a good install w/ the brain hidden well, stealth/hidden wiring, you might also want to get a paging system, get an autolock, some manual kill switches independant of the alarm, club twin hooks (along w/ autolock), batt back up, hood lock and hood pin, etc.. )..

no alarm is fool proof. its all in the install. so a clifford or viper or ungo will all work the same if installed correctly and stealth. dont be fooled by gimicks or price.
oh yeah make sure u get a battery backup. makes it wayyy harder to deactivate the alarm. the u have two power sources for your alarm.
i have heard of ppl driiling a hole in the fender through the battery once that battery is pierced and the fluid begins to leak out, an alarm w/o a battery backup is useless.

u can get most alarms hooked up to your horn and the siren, and while u r at it buy a few extra sirens to throw in there, u will need an additional relay if u go past your horn and two or three sirens.
