Is this thread for actual parts that you own/have owned, or are you just looking for pictures of various s2000 differences between the countries?

umm, i think rear fog light and headlight washers might be it. and they ain't rare. 'cept in the states..

 

there is no way...I know there are many variations in the interior, exterior and engine. Things like colors and accessories vary from each country.

Thanks on wishing luck. I think I can come up with a few variants. I will post any info and any pics here. Anyone is welcome to post any info as well.

So far this is what I know...

1. Europe has Rear Fog Light and the bumper trim that holds the rear fog. Also a switch to control the rear fog.

2. Europe has a factory option Headlight Washers w/switch. Does USA and Japan have this option too?

3. Japan and Europe have STANLEY amber side markers. They are same shape as EG Civic and Del Sol ones. I think clear Stanley's also exist.

4. There are some emblem variations, hopefully I will find out more about this.


S2000 had options in Japan and Europe that were different than those in USA. Once we see the Honda Access catalogs we will know the differences.

 

Here are the JDM/EDM Side Markers. STANLEY #3842.
Clear STANLEY variations also exist and are much harder to find.

 

after about 1 minute at looking at different SK2's, I see there were 2 different front bumpers. If there are more variations on the bumper let me know.

Top is the ap2 s2000 (2004+)

Bottom is the ap1 s2000 (1999 - 2003)

These were the only two OEM bumpers for the s2000.

 

cool thanks! So that question is answered. How many factory lip kits were offered aside from the one that is shown in the Italian brochure? Also, is the lip kit in the links different?

 

it's the same things as the bumper that Francesco was saying…*AP1 has it's lip, AP2 has it's lip…*and that lip was the same across the world on the S2000…

surprised you haven't posted the ugly side strakes, the OE rear wing (maybe that was different, doubt it)…*did anyone else beside the US get the "Type CR" (i'm sure thats the case since the US usually gets shafted on the cool stuff) which has a different front lip, (make it 3 total i guess) and also a different rear wing etc…

In Japan they got the S2000 Type S, which is the equivalent to our CR, the only difference if I remember correctly is the Type S had a soft top and a tonneau cover compared to our hardtop. Also Japan received a Type V variant, which had VGS as an option I guess I'm not really sure.. Here is a link to a Type V for sale in Japan. S2000 USDM OEM accessories and options - interior

These are not per say rare, it's just to show what factory options are available on the US Domestic Market. Some of these options were also available in Europe and Japan. If you know any more info on this please let us know.

No problem, I learned something when I stumbled upon them, so I figured why not share the knowledge? Also, I've noticed on some JDM AP1s the center portion of the seats are cloth, not sure if this an option or what? Anyone have any idea? So far only seen it on the Type V cars but not all of them.

 

no, I don't know. I'm sure there are hundreds of variations like that, both interior and exterior. Civic, Prelude, Del Sol etc. all have many variations between each market. Basically any Honda has.

 

I believe I figured it out, I've only seen it on '99 and '01 cars, so it must just be on those. I never noticed it was only those two model years.
